Establishment of Cordoba Private University (CPU)

In honor of the President of the Syrian Arab Republic and in accordance with the legislative decree (No. 36 for the year 2001) which regulates the private educational institutions for the post-secondary stage, he issued the legislative decree (No. 294 for the year 2003) which includes the licensing of the university.

The Foundation:

It was founded in 2003 under the presidential decree No. 294, which includes the license to establish the university that belongs to the Syndicate of Syrian Engineers.

The University operates under the full supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education in Syria and all the certificates granted to the students are duly certified by the Ministry of Higher Education.

Vision of CPU

The university aims to be a center of excellence, research and training, especially in scientific and technological fields. This is conducted through the provision of educational programs and a study environment at a decent scientific level in order to ensure the provision of technical and scientific manpower capable of leading development, innovation and technological innovation for the benefit of the nation and humanity.

Objectives of CPU

  • To prepare scientific competencies capable of adapting to the continuous changes in the regional and international markets.
  • To consolidate and encourage applied scientific research programs to study the needs, and thus contribute to the achievement of economic and social development goals.
  • To continue developing the curricula in the specializations offered by the university to cope with the recent trends in higher education.
  • To develop and activate mechanisms of scientific cooperation with Arab and international universities for the purpose of developing and constantly updating the university programs and curricula.
  • To create a scientific and cultural environment aimed at elevating the values ​​of excellence and scientific distinction and consolidating the spirit of competition in order to enhance personal skills and psychological building.
  • To create and establish a scientific, intellectual and sports environment aimed at promoting the values of competition and scientific excellence among students.
